Swanville threw everything it had at fifth-ranked Osakis, Friday, even taking a 4-2 lead after a three-run second inning.

But the defending section champion Silverstreaks regrouped to score the game’s final 13 runs to come away with a 15-4 road win.

Junior Marissa Evans hit a single and a triple and junior Abbey Schultz added a pair of hits to lead the Bulldogs offensively.

Seniors Molly Jordan, Lexi Loven and Courtney Sieben, junior Tiffany Barthel and sophomore Danielle Sutton had Swanville’s other hits.

“We played a very good game all around,” Swanville head coach Tom Bzdok said. “Lexi (Loven) pitched well, we hit the ball and we played good defense. The girls have nothing to hang their heads about, they faced a really good team.”
