Softball: Volkers, Ohman power Holdingford past BBE 9-2

Holdingford took the lead in its first at-bat and did not relinquish it, cruising to a 9-2 win at Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (BBE), Monday.

Juniors Jena Volkers and Alyssa Ohman each went 3-for-4 and combined to scored six runs to lead the Huskers.

Junior Ashley Breth added a single and a double and also scored.

Ohman struck out eight batters and allowed only four hits to earn the complete-game win on the mound.

The Huskers host a doubleheader against Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, Thursday.
