Baseball: Royalton slips past Eagle Valley

After falling behind 3-0 in the first inning, the Royalton baseball team rallied back to tie the game 3-3 heading into the final inning at Eagle Valley, Friday.

The Royals then led off the top of the seventh with four consecutive hits by sophomore Cade Stang, seniors Steve Hoff and Tyler Sieben and freshman Brady Moulzolf, producing three runs and a 6-3 lead.

Eagle Valley cut the gap to one with a pair of runs, but had the potential tying run thrown out on the base paths to give Royalton the 6-5 win.

Stang went 2-for-4 to lead the Royals at the plate and Sieben struck out four to earn the win on the mound.
