Donations, teams sought for Habitat for Humanity golf benefit

Habitat for Humanity of Morrison County will host its 11th annual benefit golf tournament Monday, June 11.

This event will be held at Pine Ridge Golf Club in Motley. Registration begins at 11 a.m., with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.

Golfers may enjoy a free lunch in the clubhouse courtesy of Subway of Little Falls. Everyone is welcome to bid on several interesting silent auction items and package deals.

The $300 team fees include greens fees and golf for four, shared use of a cart, complementary food on the course, door prizes and the evening buffet meal. Individual golfers are also welcome to sign up to play.

Donations of cash and door prizes are welcome and are tax deductible.

Hole sponsorships are also available.

“Sponsoring a team, a hole or donating a door prize is a way people who aren’t able to attend, or for those who don’t golf, can still become involved and show their support. Some people are better with a golf club than with a hammer and we’re grateful for their support,” said Habitat Board and Golf Committee Member Kyle Hoggarth.

“This is an excellent way to network with other golfers, business people and Habitat supporters, helping Habitat for Humanity in the process,” said Board President and Golf Committee Member Steve Twitchell. “All the money we raise stays right here in Morrison County and will help build Morrison County’s 13th Habitat home, which will begin soon.”

Those wishing to help by making a donation, or sponsoring a team are asked to call the Habitat for Humanity of Morrison County office at (320) 616-2084.
