LF hockey honors team at banquet

The Little Falls boys hockey team held its awards banquet at the Falls Ballroom, April 23.

Earning varsity team awards were seniors Joey Hanowski (Most Valuable Player) and Michael Holthaus (Most Improved Player), juniors Ben Newman (Plus/Minus), Michael Stumpf (Will to Win) and Nathan Adamietz (Rookie of the Year) and sophomore Jack Schulte (Student Athlete).

Earning junior varsity team awards were juniors Taylor Drager (Mr. Hustle) and J.D. Jopp (Will to Win), sophomore Nick Anderson (Most Improved Player) and Schulte (Rookie of the Year).

Hanowski, Stumpf and Newman were selected to the All-Section 6A first team, junior Matt Stumpf was named to the second team and senior Mike Anez and juniors Spencer Fenske and Luke Majerle were honorable mention.

Hanowski, Anez and Stumpf were named to the All-Granite Ridge Conference team and Newman, Majerle and Matt Stumpf were named honorable mention.

Anez and senior Alayna Kabanuk were named to the Academic All-Granite Ridge Conference team and Anez earned the Hobey Baker Award.

Seniors on this year’s team included Hanowski, Holthaus, Anez, Mitch Gregory, Sam Rydeen and Tony Arnold.
