Royalton outlasted Long Prairie-Grey Eagle (LPGE) 14-13, Friday, topping the host Thunder in eight innings.
With the game tied 11-11 after six, the Royals brought in two runs to take a 13-11 edge, only for LPGE to tie the score to force extra innings.
Royalton came right back in the top of the eighth, picking up the eventual game-winning run when senior Lexie Lehrke drove in sophomore Katelyn Kassela with a sacrifice fly.
Freshman Haley Olson then held off LPGE in the bottom of the inning to preserve the lead and record the win.
Junior Hannah Fussy went 4-for-5 with a run, senior Amy Vannurden had three hits with two RBIs and sophomore Jacquline Nichols had three hits and knocked in a run to lead Royalton.
