Softball: Upsala scores final 18 runs to upend West Central 23-11

West Central Area led 11-5 after three, but Upsala erupted for six in the fourth and 12 more in the fifth to pick up a 23-11 road win, Friday.

Sophomore Katie Ripplinger hit a single and a double and scored twice and junior Kim Mayer collected two hits to lead the Cardinals.

Senior Kristen Smieja and freshman Kristen Wuebkers combined to handle the pitching duties for Upsala.
