Wally Statema, 49

Wally Scott Statema, of Cat Spring, Texas, owner of Wally’s Plumbing “Tallest Plumber in Town,” passed away May 9, 2012, from pancreatic cancer. Wally was born Oct.14, 1962, in Little Falls, and leaves behind his loving wife, Joanie, his two daughters Marylee and Roxanne and his three grandchildren, Scott, Maggie and Jaxton. Wally is survived by his mother Gladys Statema of Minnesota; sister, Linda and husband Doug of Minnesota; sister LaVonne and husband Rich of Tennessee; brother, Gary and wife Tracy of Minnesota; brother Kevin of Minnesota and brother Tim and wife Sandy of Minnesota. Wally was preceded in death by his father Bert (Bud) Statema of Minnesota and his grandmother by marriage Ethel “Ma” Hamby of Nacogdoches, Texas. The memorial and funeral were held at Knesek Funeral Home in Sealy, Texas, May 11 and 12 respectively with the Rev. Gene Smith officiating. Interment was in the Sealy Cemetery.
