Baseball: Top-ranked Little Falls demolishes Foley 17-3 in regular season finale

After needing to score in its final at-bat to beat Foley earlier in the season, the Flyers demolished the host Falcons 17-3 in their second meeting, Tuesday, to tune up for postseason play.

Senior Mitch Gregory and juniors Matt Stumpf and Collin Eckman collected two hits apiece for Little Falls.

Gregory drove in three runs, while Stumpf and Eckman scored twice.

Also picking up hits were seniors Michael Holthaus, Tony Arnold and Luke Thoma and junior Spencer Fenske.

Senior Joey Hanowski knocked in three and senior Matt Valentine scored three times.

Sophomore Kyle Boser recorded the win in relief, allowing only one run over four innings of work.

Little Falls opens postseason play against an opponent to be determined, Thursday.
