The Little Falls seventh- and eighth-grade girls and seventh-grade boys track and field teams won the Granite Ridge Conference middle school meet in Little Falls, May 17.
The eighth grade boys team earned third.
Winning their individual events for the Flyers were:
Seventh grade girls: Erica Kurowski in the 100-meter dash in 14.24 seconds and the 200 (29.74); Ashley Hastings in the 400 (1:09.31) and 800 (2:49.68); Kendal Hendrickson in the 1,600 (5:58.71) and pole vault (7-feet), Jacynda Dooley in the triple jump (24-feet, 10.25-inches); and Kailee Hanfler in the shot put (25-feet, 2-inches) and the discus (68-feet, 7-inches).
Eighth grade girls: Amelia Kresha in the 1,600 (6:23.43); Elizabeth Becker in the pole vault (6-feet); Carla Walquist in the shot put (27-feet, 2-inches); and Jenny Scherping in the discus (57-feet).
Seventh grade boys: Brett Zawatzke in the 100 (13.34); Aaron Andres in the 400 (1:06.06); Josh Beack in the 100 hurdles (18.68); Jordan Witt in the pole vault (6-feet); Michael Kalpakoff in the
triple jump (21-feet, 2-inches); and Nick Maslowski in the shot put (40-feet, 11-inches) and discus (100-feet, 4-inches).
Eighth grade boys: Gunner Kleinschmidt in the 100 hurdles (17.21).
