Boys Golf: Herold leads Pierz, Erdman paces Little Falls as season concludes at section meet

Four area individuals narrowly missed qualifying for the final round of the Section 6AA boys golf tournament, bringing the Little Falls and Pierz boys golf seasons to a close.

Pierz junior Dustin Herold carded an 85 during Monday’s first round to finish two strokes from advancing.

Freshman Kyler Erdman shot an 86 to lead Little Falls, followed closely by senior Jon Brill (87) and seventh grader Tyler Moore (88).

Freshman Michael Orr capped the scoring for the Flyers with a round of 90, with junior Andrew Nooter (94) and eighth grader Reed Hines (96) rounding out the line-up.

For the Pioneers, sophomore Evan Woitalla (92) and senior Michael Meyer (93) trailed closely behind Herold, followed by senior Michael Meyer (105) and freshmen Josh Rocheleau (109) and Ethan Lochner (120).

Little Falls placed 10th as a team and Pierz took 13th.
