Ronald J. Snow, a resident of Little Falls, passed away Monday June 4, 2012, at the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 8, at the Little Falls Alliance Church with the Rev. Nate Bjorge officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery in Little Falls.
Ronald was born July 31, 1937, in Princeton, the son of the late William and Mabel ‘Bohem’ Snow. He grew up in Princeton and attended school there. Ron was united in marriage to Lola Beckstead, Oct. 22, 1955, at the Presbyterian Church in Foley. The couple moved to the Twin Cities where Ron worked for the Society For The Blind and later as a machinist at the Twin Cities Arsenal. In 1974, they purchased a farm and moved near Little Falls and became pork producers. They also owned R & L Feed Store in Little Falls from 1983 until 1988. Ron also worked as a machinist at Larson Boats and later at Crestliner in Little Falls, retiring in 2007. He enjoyed fishing and always had a huge vegetable garden of which the food shelf was often the beneficiary.
Ronald J. Snow is survived by his daughters, Catherine ‘Robert’ Olson of Minot, N.D. and Linda (Thomas) Ledbetter of Little Falls; brothers, Marvin (Anna) Snow of Princeton, Raymond (Barbara) Snow of Chicago, Ill. Albert (Mike) (Deb) Snow of Princeton and Stanley (Joyce) Snow of Alaska; sisters, Donna (Roy) Johnson of Onamia, Arlis (Oddis) Hugg of Foreston, Joyce Daudt of Princeton, Janice (Donald) Foreman of Tucson, Ariz.; Laina Snow of Green Valley, Ariz. and Connie (Vern)Gustafson of Sauk Rapids; grandchildren, Jeremy (Jennifer) Werner, Jamie (Maria)Werner, Shane Werner, Jenny Buck, Holly Phyle, Roger (Shannon) Olson, Rachel Olson and Sara Olson; and nine great-grandchildren.
Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Lola in 2008; daughter, Sandra Buck in 1999; parents; brothers, Kenneth and Eldred Snow.
