Eugene Moulzolf, 82
Eugene Moulzolf, a resident of Foley, died peacefully Sunday, June 10, 2012, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Morrill. The Rev. Leo Moenkedick and Rev. Gregory Mastey will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 Thursday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and one hour prior to the service at the church. Parish prayers will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Foley Funeral Home. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home. Eugene Moulzolf was born Jan. 9, 1930, in Alberta Township, Benton County to Stanley and Philamino ‘Minnie’ (Lesnau) Moulzolf. He married Marjorie Stellmach Aug. 6, 1951, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Morrill. The couple lived in Nebraska from 1952-1957 where Eugene worked at Rasmusson Beef Farms near Herman Neb. He also raced stock cars at the Arlington Raceway in Nebraska. In 1957, they moved back to Alberta Township, Benton County and Gene worked for the Foley Farm Supply, Benton Co-op, Wiltgen Trucking and farmed and drove cattle truck. Gene enjoyed hunting, spending time with his grandchildren and singing Polish songs. He was known for his good humor and was especially known for raising his Percheron horses, known as ‘Pine Road Percherons.’ He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie of Foley; daughters, Gwendolyn (John) Pekarek, of Foley, Jacalyn (Joe) Kornovich of Oak Park, Carolyn (Delroy) Dahler of Foley and Marilyn (Jon) Heinen of Foley; sisters, Corrine Kornovich of Foley and Erma Bruner of Sauk Rapids; 16 grandchildren and 24 great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Gaylyn, Leelyn and Raulyn; one great-grandson, Cole Majerus and sisters and brothers; Delores Lachinski, Claire Ellenwood, Millie Ferguson, Ervin, Melvin, Norvil and Myron Moulzolf.
