Legion Baseball: Pierz shuts out Royalton 6-0 in season opener

Brad Meyer and Brady Dorn each smacked a pair of doubles and knocked in a run to lead the Pierz Legion baseball team to a 6-0 win over Royalton in its season opener, Tuesday.

Cody Weiss struck out five batters in two scoreless innings of work to pick up the win for Pierz.

Steve Hoff went 2-for-3 to lead Royalton.

Pierz is scheduled to host a doubleheader against Cross Lake, Thursday, beginning at 5 p.m.
