Judy Glaze, the former owner of the Flower Dell, will begin working at [email protected] in August. Owner Sue Paulson asked Glaze to use her talents to create custom botanical and permanent arrangements, wreaths and twirls, for her customers. Pictured are Glaze, left, and Paulson.

[email protected] in Little Falls will be having its 10th anniversary in August. To help celebrate, owner Sue Paulson has hired Judy Glaze to work part-time in sales, decorating and flower arrangement.

Glaze and her husband, Dave, once owned and operated the Flower Dell in Little Falls, before selling it to Patty Mackinac.

“I am looking for partial retirement,” said Paulson. “Plus, I couldn’t see an artist as talented as Judy not working.”

When Paulson got the idea, she invited Glaze out for lunch and proposed the idea.

“I was honored,” said Glaze. “It seemed like it would be a good fit for what I had done in the past and what I wanted to do in the future. I had thought about getting back into floral design, but didn’t want to get back into working 60 hours a week.”

Glaze has begun working at the shop, getting her feet wet and learning the ropes.

“In a month or so she will have regular hours,” said Paulson.

Glaze will concentrate on botanicals and permanent arrangements, wreaths and twirls. Each will be custom designed.

For now, Glaze will meet with clients to discuss special arrangements by appointment only.

The future may have Paulson and Glaze expanding their floral inventory to potted greens and seasonal blooming plants.
