JO Softball: Little Falls ties Albany in opener, falls in finale

The Little Falls Junior Olympic (JO) softball team played Albany to a 2-2 tie in the opening game of Tuesday’s doubleheader, then fell 13-5 in the finale.

Chelsey Karnowski and Abby Thoma each went 2-for-2 and scored a run while Alea Cekalla struck out five batters for the visiting Flyers in the opener.

In the second game,  Thoma scored a pair of runs with Haylee Hittesdorf, Kendra Pohlman and Sierra Virnig all scoring once.

Korlyna Keehr drove in Little Falls’ first run with a double and Pohlman struck out four.
