After Sauk Rapids worked out of multiple jams to win the opening game of Tuesday’s twinbill 3-2, Nick Anderson tossed a four-hit shutout to lead Little Falls to a 4-0 win in the finale.
In the first game, Sauk Rapids took advantage of three errors to build an early 3-0 lead, then escaped threats in the fourth and sixth where the Flyers had runners at second and third that could not score.
Gabe Ploof and Kyle Boser had two hits apiece for Little Falls, with Ben Witt adding a double and Michael Fregin driving in a run with a single.
Thomas Bell came around to score Little Falls’ opening run on a sacrifice fly by Alec Zack.
Boser struck out nine and allowed only one earned run over seven innings of work.
Anderson controlled the finale, tossing the shutout and going 2-for-3 with an RBI at the plate.
Adam Hallberg had a pair of doubles and John Lukasavitz, Kyle Kabanuk and Austin Fenske knocked in runs.
