The staff and residents of Harding Place and Horizon Health would like to Thank the Pierz Legion and Pierz Auxiliary for presenting a program and a new flag during Memorial Weekend.  Also thank you to Thrifty White for working so closely with Harding Place making sure the residents have what they need and to the Garrison Auxiliary for doing activities with the residents.   We truly appreciate the continuous involvement of local community organizations and businesses. — Vicki Villebro, Horizon Health, Pierz

To the Editor:

The Red Cross Bloodmobile, St. Francis Convent, Little Falls, received 230 units—five units above goal. Thanks to donors who gave, who came but couldn’t donate, businesses allowing for posters; Little Falls Radio, Morrison County Record, Channel 6—who informed the public; Pine Country Bank, Ace/Coborn’s, Walgreens for marquee reminders; the many volunteers who helped. The next three-day drive will be Oct. 31 – Nov. 2 and a one-day “O” drive Aug. 22. Mark your calendars. — Sister Julien Dirkes, Motherhouse administrator, Little Falls

To the Editor:

In an effort to meet our share of the Minnesota Lions pledge of $250 million to the Diabetes Foundation, Inc. the Little Falls Dandee Lions held a successful three-day event. This pledge is used to develop magnetic resonance imaging assessment tools to advance the cure for diabetes. Thank you to KLTF, Morrison County Record and the community who helped us with our success. The generosity of those purchasing and donating items was heartwarming and welcomed. — Bunny Tabatt, Little Falls Dandee Lions, Little Falls

To the Editor:

There are not words to adequately express a special “thank you” to everybody that donated materials, expertise and manual labor during the construction of the newest Veterans Memorial in Randall. Building this memorial was a labor of love for all. The list is too long to personally name everybody and their contribution to this memorial. It takes extraordinary people to volunteer their time and skills to honor all veterans with this memorial. — Danny L. Noss, junior vice commander of the Randall VFW Curtis-Olson Post 9073, Randall

To the Editor:

We want to extend a sincere thank you to Tim Brummer and his Sentence to Serve crew for helping us unload our food delivery from Second Harvest twice a month. This is no small task as we receive approximately 10,000 pounds of food each delivery. Our delivery times have been changed, and we often don’t know exactly when the deliveries arrive, but Tim is very flexible and always makes it a priority. — Gloria Thomes, director, Morrison County Food Shelf, Little Falls
