Legion Baseball: Thoma, Munnell power Little Falls to sweep over Brainerd

The Little Falls Legion baseball team used a dominant pitching performance and an offensive outburst to sweep a doubleheader over Brainerd, Friday.

In the first game, Luke Thoma gave Brainerd little chance to score, tossing a three-hit shutout while issuing only two walks in a 2-0 victory.

Joey Hanowski helped him at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a run, with Tony Arnold scoring the other run and Mitch Gregory knocking in one.

Rob Munnell led Little Falls in the finale, collecting three hits, two runs and an RBI as the Flyers prevailed 10-6.

Gregory added a pair of hits and two runs and Luke Thoma doubled, while Joe Tuholsky notched the win in relief.

Little Falls improved to 5-1 in sub-district play, 8-1 overall with the wins.
