Margaret Tepley, 97

Margaret Tepley, a resident of Swanville, passed away Monday, July 2, 2012, at the Centra Care Health System – Long Prairie.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 7, at at the chapel of Centra Care Health System in Long Prairie. Burial took place at Moran Riverside Cemetery in Moran Township.
Margaret M. Tepley was born Feb. 11, 1915. in Fridley Township, Anoka County Minnesota, the daughter of Frederick C. and Caroline (Gottwaldt) Schultz. She attended county school and graduated from Edison High School in Minneapolis in 1932. Margaret married Robert J. Tepley in St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Minneapolis, May 22, 1935. They lived in Crystal until 1942 when they moved to Ohio. In 1946 they moved to a farm in Elmdale Township, Morrison County which they had purchased in 1942. They then moved to Swanville in 1998. Margaret was an active member of Grace Church in Royalton, serving as treasurer and as secretary of the congregation for many years. She was president and secretary of the women’s groups, Deanery and Diocesan Delegate. She belonged to the Triple E Club from 1953 to 2001. She enjoyed high school sports events and was also a Twins fan. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, crocheting and baking for her grandchildren.             She is survived by sons Douglas Tepley of Browerville and Curtis (Jeanne) Tepley of Swanville; daughter in-law. Linda Tepley of Colorado, eight grandchildren, Susan (Scott) Rosenberg of Mannassa Park, Va., Kevin (Prema) Tepley of Ashburn, Va., Donald Tepley Jr. of Burtrum, Laura (Doug) Jaschke of Rogers, Catherine (Jeff) Arnzen of Grey Eagle, Andrew (Elly) Tepley of Swanville, Brenda (Tim) Orness, of West Fargo, N.D. and Denise Tepley of Pierz; 17 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Also special friend Ester Barber and many others.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Tepley in 2001; three sisters, Julia Anderson, Gertrude Bergquist and Agnes Berg; brother Frederick Schultz; son Donald Tepley June 19, 2010; and infant son and daughter and two step- grandsons.
Pallbearers were her grandchildren.
