Morrison County Attorney Brian Middendorf has filed felony charges for damage to property in the first degree and assault in the fifth degree for causing fear of bodily harm or death against Dustin James Dombovy, Brainerd.
Dombovy, 26, allegedly assaulted the victim after they pulled out in front of his vehicle in a Little Falls store parking lot.
The victim told officers that he had not seen the defendant’s vehicle and pulled out in front of him, upsetting Dombovy. After the victim parked, Dombovy allegedly ran through the lot, kicked his car and punched him twice in the face.
According to the criminal complaint a witness spoke with officers about the incident.
Officers observed a dent on the driver’s side door of the victim’s car with a shoe print that allegedly matched Dombovy’s shoe and the victims lips were bleeding with puncture injuries to his top lip.
If found guilty, Dombovy faces five years imprisonment and/or a $10,000 fine for the damage to the property, which was more than $1,000. He also faces 90 days in jail and/or a $1,000 fine for the assault.
