Gross misdemeanor charges filed

Morrison County Attorney Brian Middendorf and his staff have filed gross misdemeanor complaints against the following people:

• Michael Edward Rausch, 50, Randall — In connection with a June 11 incident, Rausch has been charged with one count of third degree DWI -refusing to submit to a chemical test and one count of fourth degree DWI – operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

• Amber Jessica Welsand, 22, Royalton — In connection with a July 3 incident, Welsand has been charged with one count of driver must carry proof of insurance when operating a vehicle and one count of driving after revocation.

If found guilty, those charged face a maximum penalty of one year in jail and/or a $3,000 fine.

The court will set their appearance dates.
