Dorothy Dubbs, 87

Dubbs, a resident of Edina, passed away peacefully Friday, July 20, 2012.

A Mass of Resurrection was held Thursday, July 26, at Church of Our Lady of Grace in Edina. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery in Onamia.

Together with her husband, Jerry, she owned and operated Izaty’s Lodge on Lake Mille Lacs for 42 years. Dorothy loved to entertain the guests that visited the resort through the years. Born June 20, 1925, Dorothy attended high school at Holy Angels in Minneapolis and received a bachelor of science degree from the College of St. Catherine and graduate studies at St. Louis University. She was a registered dietician and is fondly remembered for her wonderful meals and gracious hospitality. Dorothy is a past president of the St. Thomas Academy Mothers Club and former member of the Crosier Father and Brothers Apostolate.

Dorothy is survived by her five sons and their families, Mike and Susan and daughters Tara and Keegan, Bill and children Joe, Mary, Betty and Rose, Steve and Joan, Tim and Gay and their sons T.J. and Patrick, and Rob.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry; parents, Earl and Rachaelle; and brother Rev. Brother Felix Bettendorf, CFA.
