Laura L. Linnerud, 54

Laura L. Linnerud, a resident of Little Falls, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012, in Benton County.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN with Father Nicholas Landsberger officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Little Falls at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel.

Laura was born July 26, 1958, in Little Falls, to Margaret Vosen and Hubert J. Vosen. She grew up in Little Falls and graduated from Little Falls Community High School in 1977. She was united in marriage to Greg Linnerud April 15, 1978, at First Lutheran Church in Little Falls. The couple raised three children in Little Falls and when they were school age, Laura enjoyed working part time for Coast to Coast Hardware in Little Falls and most recently was an office manager at Little Falls Fleet Supply. Laura enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her two grandchildren, McKenna and Darian. She liked to cook, read novels and watch the Food Network, her favorite show was “Chopped”. Laura was diagnosed with a late stage cancer nine years ago in August. She was strong and fought hard, always remaining positive throughout her treatments, and looking to the future. She was a wonderful, loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Laura is survived by her husband, Greg Linnerud of Little Falls; sons, Derek Linnerud of Little Falls and Jeremy Linnerud of Little Falls; daughter, Nichole Linnerud (David Stotz) of Royalton; parents, Margaret Vosen of Little Falls and Hubert Vosen of Spring Hill, Fla.; sisters, Kathy (Jerry) Maurer of Fort Ripley, Debbie Lubke of Bemidji, Ann (Glenn) Mizelle of Midland, Va., Mary (Reggie) Gwost of Sauk Rapids and Missy (Dave) Bengtson of Little Falls; brothers, Gary (Sandy) Vosen of Lino Lakes, Michael (Diane) Vosen of St. Cloud and David (Julie) Vosen of Wabasha; two grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
