Ronald N. Wuellner, 67

Ronald N. Wuellner, a resident of Little Falls, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012, as a result of an automobile accident in Little Falls.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls with Rev. Jerry Nordick officiating. Military honors are with the Little Falls VFW Post #1112 and the Little Falls American Legion Post #46.  Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 PM and Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the service at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls.  Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery. Ronald N. Wuellner was born April 5, 1945, in Little Falls, to the late Otto and Margaret (Hoheisel) Wuellner. He grew up on the family farm near Pierz and attended St. Joseph Grade School, then graduated from Pierz Memorial High School in 1962. Ron entered the United States Army in November 1965 and served until his honorable discharge in November 1967. While in the service, he was an extra soldier in the making of the movie, “The Green Berets” with John Wayne. After his discharge, he lived in Morrill. He worked for Komatz Construction Company out of St. Peter, as a road construction truck driver from 1968 until 1988. From 1989 until 2000, he drove truck for Bituminous Materials Inc. out of Faribault. Since then, Ron has worked seasonal truck driving for the Helena Fertilizer Plant and Royal Farms, both located in Royalton. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, road trips, going to the casino and making wood. Ron liked to joke around and lived life to its fullest. He was a life member of the Little Falls VFW Post #1112 and a member of the Little Falls American Legion Post #46.

Ron is survived by his companion of 43 years, Donna Stellmach of Little Falls; brothers, Donald Wuellner of Pierz, Otto (Arlyn) Wuellner of Little Falls, and John (Jeanette) Wuellner of Little Falls; sisters, Elaine (Elroy) Meyer of Pierz,  Leora Poster of Pierz and Betty (Leon) Flicker of Pierz; many nieces and nephews; Donna’s children, Debbie (Bill) Moeller of Royalton, Randi (Dan) DeMarais of Rice, Gary Stellmach of Babbitt, Sandi (Bob) Schmid of St. Cloud, Larry, Terry and Cheryl Stellmach all of Little Falls.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Norman Wuellner; sister, Doris and husband, Frank Hurrle; sister-in-law, Deloria Wuellner and brother-in-law, Lawrence Poster.

Casketbearers were David Meyer, Donald Wuellner Jr. Perry Wuellner, Jerry and John Poster and Bruce Flicker.
