Wallace Mattock, 87

Wallace “Wally” Mattock, a resident of Little Falls, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012, at St. Otto’s Care Center in Little Falls.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, Aug. 2, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls, with the Rev. Nicholas Landsberger officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery.

Wallace Raymond Mattock was born June 6, 1925, in Waite Park, the son of Raymond and Ethel (Kempf) Mattock. Following his schooling, he worked for Northern Pacific and Burlington Northern Railroads and Community Federal Savings and Loan in Little Falls. He was united in marriage to Leona Robichaud Feb. 5, 1949, at St. John the Baptist Church in Dayton. The couple made their home in Elk River and later moved to Little Falls. Wally enjoyed reading, golfing and bowling. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls, the Knights of Columbus, Little Falls Lions Club and the Little Falls Chamber of Commerce.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Leona of Little Falls; children, Raymond Mattock of Sartell, Mary (Jeff) Milbert of Cold Spring, Michael (Arla) Mattock of Maryville, Mo.; grandchildren, John Mattock, Dominic Mattock, Will Mattock, Monica (Blake) Sloan, Marjorie (Ryan) Homstol, and Matthew (Kelsey) Milbert and great-grandchildren, Mila and Cael Sloan and Elin and Karsen Homstol.

Wally was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kathryn Mattock and brother, Warren Mattock.
