Ruth M. Wenner, a resident of Waite Park, passed away July 31, 2012, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park for Ruth M. Wenner, age 80, of Waite Park, who passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Mark Innocenti will officiate. Burial will take place in Holy Cross Parish Cemetery in North Prairie. Family and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the church in Waite Park. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
Ruth was born Oct. 5, 1931, in Royalton, to Leo and Gladys (Reinhardt) Wenner. She graduated from Royalton High School before attending teacher’s training school for two years. Ruth was a teacher in rural country schools in Morrison County for 25 years. She then went to work for Control Data in the Twin Cities as a factory inspector assembler for 15 years and most recently was a hall and door monitor at St. Cloud Technical High School. She then retired. Ruth was an avid reader and enjoyed taking trips to Duluth and the Twin Cities, occasional visits to the casino and being with family and friends.
Ruth is survived by her brothers and sisters, Gertrude Leger of Ortonville, Evelyn Pendergast of St. Paul, Philip of Franklin, Leo (Joan) of Royalton, Frances (Ron) Graham of Roseville, Donald (Florence) of Baxter, Marie (Louis) Brown of Big Stone City, S.D., James of Waite Park and Robert (Dione) of Little Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Norbert and David.
