Christensen sentenced to prison for burglary

Charles Jack Fransis Christensen, 25, with addresses in Little Falls and Hermantown, was convicted July 27, in Morrison County District Court second degree felony burglary

On March 22, 2011, the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a garage and vacant home having been broken into. Officers discoved cut copper lines causing gas to fill the house.

On March 26, 2011, another report was received of a suspicious vehicle at the same property. Upon arriving, the officer found Christensen sitting in the vehicle. Burglary tools were found in the vehicle.

Christensen and another man were transported to the jail. Christensen admitted stealing gas for his vehicle, copper pipes and other items after forcing entry into the residence.

Christensen was sentenced to the correctional facility in St. Cloud for 29 months, fined $135 and ordered to pay $4,259.38 in restitution.

Dismissed against Christensen was one felony count of theft from both a March 21, 2011, and an April 8, 2011, incident where both gas and batteries were stolen from a construction company in Little Falls.

Assistant County Attorney Todd Kosovich said the charges were dismissed when Christensen was convicted on the felony burglary.
