A Little Falls man was charged Aug. 3, with one felony count each of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and operating a motor vehicle with an alcohol concentration of 0.08 within two hours by Morrison County Attorney Brian Middendorf and his staff.
On Aug. 7, Jason David Keehr, 37, allegedly crashed into a garage on 160th Avenue in Little Falls Township. A sheriff’s deputy responded and found the vehicle running with its lights on and Keehr sleeping behind the steering wheel.
While officers attempted to wake up Keehr, they noted a strong smell of alcohol. He was asked to take a field sobriety test which, according to the criminal complaint, he failed. He was also given a preliminary breath test which allegedly came back as 0.21.
Keehr’s past driving record indicated he was convicted of DWIs in April 2006, May 2008 and December 2009, all in Morrison County.
If convicted, Keehr faces a maximum penalty of seven years imprisonment and/or a $14,000 fine.
