Vote ‘Kathrein’ in District 1 race

To the Editor:

I want to urge area residents to vote in the upcoming primary election.

In Morrison County’s District 1 Commissioner race, we are fortunate to have several excellent candidates.

I urge 1st District residents to vote for Clint Kathrein. Like our current Commissioner Tom Wenzel, Kathrein has a strong farm background. That background includes strong family values, excellent work ethic and concern for others. I have known him to assume leadership roles; one example is president of the Morrison County Fair Board.

Kathrein is well-respected for his good business sense (he previously was honored by the national beef industry as the Young Beef Producer of the Year) and knowledge of county matters such as roads, drainage ditches, the Soil and Water Conservation District, taxes and the need to work with municipalities as well as townships.

He is a busy person whether with his business, community undertakings or involvement with his family. While being busy, he has a true concern for older citizens and people with disabilities. That’s commendable.

Kathrein will make an excellent commissioner, one who will be firm while supporting county needs and one who can work with and listen to the residents. — Larry Ehoff, Little Falls
