The public is invited to a hearing and open house Monday, Aug. 13, to comment on the environmental assessment worksheet (EAW) for the proposed Highway 10/Benton County Road 2 interchange project in Rice.
The meeting be held from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at the Rice City Hall, 205 Main St. E.
Copies of the EAW will be available, the project layout will be on display and Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) staff will be on hand to answer questions. The EAW includes information on environmental effects of the project including potentially contaminated properties, stormwater quality and quantity and traffic noise.
Copies of the EAW will also be available for public review at four locations including, the MnDOT District 3B Office, 3725 12th St. N., St. Cloud; the Benton County Highway Department, 7752 Highway 25 N.W., Foley; Rice City Hall and the Great River Regional Library, 1300 W. St. Germain, St. Cloud.

The proposed project will replace the existing at-grade Highway 10/Benton County Road 2 intersection in Rice with a full access, grade-separated interchange with a bridge spanning County Road 2 over Highway 10.
