Brandon Vasilauskas, 24

Brandon Lee Vasilauskas, a resident of Asheville, N.C., died early morning Aug. 2, 2012.

A funeral service was held Monday, Aug. 6, at the Biltmore Church of God with Pastor Dale Whitson officiating. Interment followed at Green Hills Cemetery in Asheville.

Brandon was born Dec. 10, 1987. He graduated from Little Falls Community High School in 2006, while simultaneously earning an associate’s degree from Central Lakes College in Brainerd as an honor roll student in both schools. He moved to Asheville a year later, in 2007, with his best friend Matt Vasbinder. Brandon continued his education at AB-Tech and was employed at Olive Garden in Asheville for over three years. He enjoyed making everyone he came in contact with welcome and happy. He was passionate about everything he did. He loved life to the fullest and happiness was a priority in his life, not for himself but for those around him. Brandon loved everyone and left people smiling and feeling better than when they arrived. He was engaged to the beautiful Lauren Ashley Farmer, his best friend and life partner. The couple was relocating Aug. 3 to start their new life together in Greensboro, N.C. They were enrolled to attend the University of North Carolina Greensboro, where Brandon was continuing his love of learning, pursuing his undergraduate degree in marketing.

He will be missed and mourned by so many, especially his fiancée Lauren Farmer of Asheville; mother, Therese (James) Waddell Jr. of Little Falls; father, Thomas Vasilauskas of Rockton, Pa.; sisters,  Nicole (Ben) Anders of Asheville, Jessica (Kristopher) Ambuehl of Little Falls, Abby Waddell of St. Cloud and Ashley (Brent) Walkoviak of Little Falls; brothers, Zachary (Brittany Davis) of St. Cloud, Matthew of Little Falls and James (Angie) of Sartell; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Bernice Krueger; uncle, David Krueger; aunt, Mary Hedburg; many other extended family members.

Pallbearers were Thomas Vasilauskas, Zack Vasilauskas, Matt Vasbinder, Ben Anders, Ryan Able, Cody Schnieder and Rick Farmer.
