Jim Grettum, 84

Jim Grettum, a resident of Cushing, died Sunday, July 15, 2012.

Burial services were held in Clear Lake, S.D.

Jim was born Sept. 21, 1927, in Duluth to Walter and Winifred Grettum. After graduation from high school in Little Falls, Jim attended Bemidji State College and, following two tours of duty serving in the United States Army during the 1952 Occupation of Japan, he completed his education at St. Cloud State University in 1953. In 1956, he moved back to Little Falls where he lived his entire life. Jim was a 3rd Degree Mason and Past Patron of the order of Eastern Star Bethlehem Chapter 74 in Little Falls.

Jim is survived by his wife of 57 years, Florann Totman Grettum of Little Falls; as well as nieces, nephews and cousin Jean Soderlind of Savannah, Ga.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, William, Thomas and Robert.
