To the Editor:
The July 15 letter, “Moderate voices are drowned out,” implies that “mean-spirited” “extremists” believe the “other side” likes to kill babies. I am certain that I qualify as a mean-spirited extremist, but, I do not believe the “other side” likes to kill babies. I am confounded, however, that we continue to kill babies while no one likes to kill babies.
More confounding: now the taxpayers, through Obamacare, will be forced to pay for the killing of babies and, still, no one likes the killing of babies.
Why not ask Amy Klobuchar? Klobuchar (from Minnesota) was the last vote needed to pass Obamacare. She certainly should be able to answer the question “when no one likes the killing of babies, why are the taxpayers forced to pay for the killing of babies?” And if Klobuchar can’t/won’t answer that question, why should you vote for her? Indirectly, our votes for Klobuchar turned out to be a vote for taxpayer-funded killing of babies.
Our votes did, do, and will, have consequences. Let’s not make that same mistake again. — Thomas E. Paulson, Little Falls
