Girls Tennis: Aitkin takes trio of three-set matches to knock off Little Falls 5-2

Aitkin won all three matches that went a full three sets, proving to be the difference in a 5-2 win at Little Falls, Tuesday.

Sophomore Mikayla Gottwalt rolled to a convincing 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles for the Flyers.

The third doubles duo of eighth graders Arielle Emerson and Angela Meschke eked out the first set in a tiebreaker before blanking their opponents in the second set for a 7-6 (4), 6-0 victory.

Little Falls plays at St. Cloud Apollo, Thursday, at 4:30 p.m.
