Dwayne D. Johnson
Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 23, at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Cushing, with Bob Mueller officiating A private burial was held at the Veterans Cemetery, near Camp Ripley.
Dwayne was born Nov. 26, 1942, at home in Parker Township. The son of Eldred and Ruth (Close) Johnson. He graduated from Little Falls High School in 1960. He served in the Army from 1964-1966. Dwayne married Leone Marie (Pillatzki) in Watertown, S.D., Aug. 3, 1971. He worked at Nilfisk Advance for 36 years. Dwayne and Leone worked together until they retired in 2003. He enjoyed spending time with Leone, Todd and his three grandchildren, friends, fishing, hunting, feeding the birds, yard work, casinos, camping and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Leone (Pillatzki); his son Todd (Adena) Johnson; and grandchildren; Teagan, Torri and Treysen Johnson; his brothers, Erwood and (Mary) of Oaskis, Warren and (Yvonne) of Motley and Allen of South Haven; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lee (Debbie) Pillatzki of Chanhassen, John (Pat) Wilner of Cosmos and Ardell (Delores) Walgrave of Crystal.
