Girls Tennis: Pierz falls twice at Foley tri

Pierz dropped a pair of matches at Tuesday’s Foley tri, falling 5-2 against sixth-ranked Foley and 7-0 in a rematch against Pequot Lakes.

Senior Sara Schlegel bounced back after dropping the first set to win 2-6, 7-5, 7-5 at No. 3 singles, while the second doubles team of junior Stephanie Brill and sophomore Shelbie Boser won 6-2, 6-7 (5), 7-4.

Pierz hosts a tri against Pine City and Crosby-Ironton, Thursday.
