Cross Country: Little Falls boys, girls earn third at Milaca Early Bird

The Little Falls boys and girls cross country teams opened the season at Monday’s Milaca Early Bird Invite, each placing third.


Boys results

Junior Mathew Massmann was the top finisher for the Flyers boys, crossing the line ninth in 18:05.

Juniors Cameron Smith (18:29.9) and Adam Maleski (18:56.7) also placed in the top 20.

Senior John Brezinka (19:00.1), junior Sebastian Sowada (19:37.4), senior Brian McNamara (19:38.4) and freshman Jacob Massmann (19:49.8) rounded out the lineup.


Girls results

Little Falls claimed three of the top 11 spots, led by senior Mattia Hendrickson in sixth (16:20.2).

Senior Chelsea Rutz placed ninth in 16:54.1 and junior Laura Moe finished 11th in 17:02.9, followed by sophomore Heidi Moe (17:30.9) and juniors Kaitlin Geisenhof (20:14) and Taylor Kunkel (20:29.1).

Little Falls races at Brainerd, Friday.
