The fifth annual “Shoot for the Troops” event will be held Thursday, Sept. 20, at Le-Blanc’s Rice Creek Hunting and Recreation Club in Little Falls. Organizers are looking for soldiers who would like to be a part of this annual fundraiser. Soldiers will take part in the clay shoot and dinner at a discounted rate, and fees can be waived for those experiencing financial difficulty. Registration will begin at 2 p.m., the clay shoot at 3 p.m. and supper will be served at 6 p.m.
With the help of the Camp Ripley Family Assistance Center, 100 percent of the funds raised from this event are donated to the Minnesota Military Family Foundation (MMFF). Last year, roughly $7,000 was raised and the goal this year is $10,000.
Interested soldiers should contact Tami Klucas at the Family Assistance Center to register by Thursday, Sept. 6. She can be reached at (320) 616-3117 or via e-mail at [email protected].
