Cross Country: Holdingford boys, girls sweep top spots again

The Holdingford boys and girls swept the top spots for the second meet in a row to open the season in Thursday’s home meet.

Sophomore Emily Wolter won the girls race in 15:31.6 and freshman Alli Ruprecht took third in 16:03.6 to lead the Holdingford girls to first.

Sophomores Abe Skwira (17:22.6) and Andrew Zachman (17:24.1) and senior Ryan Hartung (18:38.8) finished in the top 10 to lift the Huskers boys to the top spot.

Royalton was led by sophomore Zachary Carlson (17:16.6) in third place overall, with sophomore Tremayne Collins (17:59.5) placing seventh, freshman Ben Borash  (18:58.3) earning 14th and senior Stephen Strusz (19:18.9) taking 20th.
