Girls Soccer: St. John’s Prep scores final three goals to overcome Little Falls

Little Falls took a 2-1 lead early in the second half, but a hat trick by one of the top scorers in the area led to a 4-2 defeat against visiting St. John’s Prep, Thursday.

Senior Kaitlyn Durham put the Flyers ahead in the second minute on a breakaway following a steal before the Johnnies tied the score at 1-1 heading into the break.

Freshman Jordan Schuett converted a steal into a goal 30 seconds into the second half to put Little Falls ahead 2-1 before the Johnnies scored three unanswered for the win.

Junior Rachelle LeBlanc made 13 individual defensive plays to lead the Flyers’ defense while matched up against St. John’s Prep senior Clare Culligan, who netted a hat trick after scoring her 100th career goal earlier in the week.

Eighth grader Lauren Thielman had five saves for Little Falls.
