Seniors Abbey Schultz and Laura Geisenhof came away with a 6-1, 6-7 (6), 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles for Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Upsala-Swanville Area (LPGE/USA) against visiting Osakis, Thursday.

But the ninth-ranked Silverstreaks took the remaining six, including a pair of three-set matches, earning a 6-1 win to top the Thunder for the second time this season.

“Overall the girls did better than the first match against Osakis, likely the top team in the section,” LPGE/USA head coach Curt Hatfield said. “With a little hard work and a few breaks hopefully the results will be different next time.”
