Man found injured on track north of Randall identified
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the man presumably struck and seriously injured by a train near Randall. The victim is 35-year-old Lance Lloyd Lacroix, no current address.
At approximately 8:11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Burlington Northern Sante Fe (BNSF) Railroad reporting a body was seen on the railroad tracks north of Randall.
Responding officers from the Randall Police Department and Morrison County Sheriff’s Office located a male individual, later identified as Lacroix, with severe injuries lying between the tracks. Officers, along with members of the Randall Fire and Rescue Squad, rendered aide until Lacroix was transported by Gold Cross Ambulance to St. Gabriel’s Hospital and later to North Memorial.
According to Morrison County Sheriff Michel Wetzel, it appears Lacroix was run over by a train. Whether he was trying to get on it, get off it, or fell off it has not yet been determined.
Lacroix’s condition is unknown.
