Volleyball: Kurowski, Little Falls dismantles Paynesville at Litchfield tournament

The Little Falls volleyball team took apart Paynesville Area 25-10, 25-22 at Saturday’s Litchfield tournament.

The Flyers fell in their remaining three matches to Sartell-St. Stephen (25-16, 25-18), Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City (25-21, 20-25, 15-13) and Litchfield (25-14, 25-17).

Senior Noelle Kurowski was the top offensive threat for Little Falls during the tournament, amassing 18 kills and 10 service aces to go with a team-high 36 digs.

Senior Katie Schulte and freshman Laura Fregin each added nine kills, juniors Jennifer Ronning and Sierra Virnig contributed seven apiece and junior Brooke Finch picked up six.

Junior Stephanie Wardarski (26) and senior Emily Suska (24) teamed up for 50 set assists and junior Tristen Zimmerman dug out 34 shots.
