A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, Sept. 18, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Gilman, with Father Luke Steiner officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Jerry Lentner was born Sept. 1, 1932, in Graham Township to the late Casmier and Julia (Trutwin) Lentner. He had farmed most of his life near Gilman in Benton County. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and had served on the Gilman Creamery Board. He enjoyed playing cards, bowling and gardening. Jerry’s volunteer works included countless hours at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, from ushering to building bazaar booths to serving on many parish committee projects. He enjoyed giving his time for God and his church. Jerry had a gentle soul. He went through his life helping others. He was always able to see the good in everyone. Jerry will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his children, Tim (Suzette), Sue Carlson, Jane Yager, Ron (Julie), Paul (Lisa); sister, Rita Jurek; 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Frank, Angeline Fisher, Helen Lancaster, Roman, Leona Stachovich, Anna Nesenson, Stanley, John, Florian, Pauline Hildebrandt and Casmier Jr.
The family would like to extend sincerest thanks to the staff at St. Otto’s Care Center, St. Gabriels’ Hospital and Dr. Ryan Kray.
Memorials are preferred to the Poor Clares Monastery and Salvation Army.
