Cross Country: Hendrickson, Rutz and Massmann pace Little Falls at Lucky Lindy

Seniors Mattia Hendrickson and Chelsea Rutz led the Little Falls girls cross country team to ninth place at Thursday’s Myron Ahle Lucky Lindy meet in Little Falls.

Juniors Mathew Massmann and Cameron Smith led the Flyers boys to 11th place, with 21 teams and 1,145 runners competing.

 

Girls results

Hendrickson covered the course in 15:30.7 to place 15th individually, with Rutz earning 33rd in 16:09.5.

Sophomore Heidi Moe (16:35.5), junior Laura Moe (16:45.9) and freshman Amelia Kresha (17:21.1) also scored for the Flyers, followed by juniors Vanessa Meschke (17:51.3) and Kaitlin Geisenhof (18:55.9).

Massmann (17:22.7) and Smith (17:44.9) both broke the 18-minute mark to finish in the top 50 overall.

Grouped closely behind them were junior Sebastian Sowada (18:24.9), senior John Brezinka (18:34.9) and junior Dan Mushel (18:39.1), with junior Jacob Freitag (19:06.7) and freshman Jacob Massmann (19:28.5) rounding out the lineup.
