Football: Fifth-ranked Becker pulls away from Little Falls in second half

The regular season-opening gauntlet of ranked foes continued for the Little Falls football team, Friday, as the Flyers traveled to Class AAAA’s fifth-ranked Becker.

Little Falls kept the game close throughout the first half, trailing only 6-0 at the break.

But the Bulldogs pulled away with three touchdowns in the third quarter and one more in the fourth, securing a 38-0 win.

Junior Jalen Wuchko was the leading ball carrier for the Flyers, rushing 12 times for 49 yards.

Senior Robert Reller hauled in a 20-yard pass, with senior Collin Eckman and junior Trysten Ross also making receptions.

Senior Jordan Petrone was the leading tackler for Little Falls with nine, followed by sophomores Bryce Zawatzke (7) and Brighton Goodrich (6), senior Austin Bjorge (4), Eckman (4) and Ross (4).
