A training exercise involving law enforcement, first responders and Camp Ripley personnel will take place Wednesday afternoon on Camp Ripley.
“This training exercise will allow us to coordinate efforts and streamline our response time in the event of an emergency on Camp Ripley,” said Maj. John Donovan a spokesperson for the training center.
Wednesday afternoon residents near Camp Ripley may hear emergency sirens for a brief period and may also see a civilian air-care helicopter.
“This exercise is an excellent opportunity to build relationships and to practice response techniques with our local and state partners,” said Donovan.
Questions pertaining to the exercise may be directed to Lt. Blake St. Sauver, Public Affairs Officer for Camp Ripley, (320) 616-3122.
