Glinda I. Kieffer, a resident of Pierz, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept.15, at the Foley Funeral Home Chapel, Foley, with the Rev. Daniel Walz officiating. Burial was in the Lone Pine Cemetery, Morrill.
Glinda Kieffer was born Aug. 4, 1943, in Pearsall, Texas, to Leo and Margaret (Murphy) Davis. She grew up on a farm near San Antonio, Texas. She married Norbert Kieffer Aug. 13, 1958, in Pearsall. The couple moved to Morrill after their marriage and later moved to their farm near Ramey. Glinda cooked for Rich’s in Buckman and Morrill Liquor. She enjoyed doing day care in her home for many years. She loved animals, especially her horse, Goldie. She liked going to garage sales and collecting and going fishing. Glinda loved being with friends and family and had a heart of gold and would help anyone if she could.
She is survived by her husband, Norbert of Pierz; sons, Rich of Pierz; Carly (Tammy) of Hillman; grandchildren, Zachery and Brock; sister, Connie Stuart of Hondo, Texas; brothers, LeRoy Davis of San Antonio, Texas, Gilford Davis, Hondo of Texas and Andrew Davis, Hondo; nieces and nephews; and father-in-law, Roman Kieffer of Little Falls; and brothers and sisters-in-law.
She was preceded by her parents; mother-in-law, Irene Kieffer and brother-in-law, Gene Kieffer.
