Volleyball: Pierz pulls away from Kimball to remain unbeaten in CMC

After splitting the first two sets, Pierz pulled away for a 25-15, 23-25, 26-24, 25-15 win at Kimball Area, Thursday, improving to 3-0 in Central Minnesota Conference (CMC) play.

Junior Bridget Bednar had 14 kills and senior Anna Welle contributed 10 to lead the Pierz offense, with senior Kailee Monson and junior Tiara Hopkins adding eight apiece.

Sophomore Jessica Hawks (19) and senior Brook Brausen (13) combined for 32 set assists and Bednar posted a team-high 11 digs and three blocks.
